WITH CONTRIBUTIONS FROM SUPPORTERS LIKE YOU, WE ARE ABLE TO FUND THE CONTINUAL PRESERVATION OF THIS HISTORIC LANDMARK, offer free music, culture and community-building programs for children and adults—all in a unique performance venue in the heart of the city.

Half a century ago The Old Church Society formed to save, and then restore, one of the last examples of Carpenter Gothic architecture in Portland. As a nonprofit charged with the unique and challenging mission of preserving a historic treasure AND creating wonderful music and arts programs that enhance the cultural life of the community, we rely on community support. Our programming is thoughtfully curated for the ever-changing and diverse community in our region, appealing to people of all ages, interests and backgrounds. Our intention is to attract future generations to love and support this place like we do.

WE NEED YOU NOW, MORE THAN EVER, AS WE MOVE INTO THE FUTURE.

The truth is that TOC is about more than the concerts, events and community it houses, it is also a historic landmark in the heart of Portland. Maintaining a majestic architectural treasure of this size and age is a never-ending, lifelong commitment. Every year we tackle both unexpected and planned repairs and carry out continuous maintenance to preserve the structure in its existing form. We are reliant on our community’s generosity through individual donations such as yours. Without this help we would not be able to continue our efforts to maintain the beauty and function of The Old Church, and we hope you know how much we appreciate you and your patronage. Thank you for considering continued support of this essential element of Portland’s cultural landscape.

With gratitude,

Amanda Stark
Executive Director
